Patricia holds a B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) and is finishing her M.A. (Master of Arts) in Counselling Psychology. She is currently a student therapist aiming to qualify as a psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She brings a wealth of lived and professional experience to her practice. Patricia is a certified grief coach, retired police officer, bilingual in English and Spanish, and an accomplished author and speaker.
Her former work experience and personal tragedies deeply inform a compassionate and grounded approach to supporting individuals navigating complex grief, trauma, depression and anxiety. She has pursued additional training in trauma therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), integrating these approaches to support healing and resilience.
Beyond her clinical work, she is also deeply involved in advocacy for victims and volunteers, serving on numerous groups and advisory boards across the country. She is a mother of six and brings personal experience in raising a child with special needs, giving her insight into the challenges of advocacy and navigating complex systems.
Her professional journey is marked by a profound commitment to healing and empowering others during life’s most difficult moments. She looks forward to sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with adults and parents.
